The Shadow Out of Time
09:23
|
|||
Immortal possession
Unbounded dimension
My captors ascended
My body transmuted
A foreign lifeform I now command
This temporary inhabitance
Primeval forest encirclement
Surrounds my prison, this megalith
Out from the distance, the race of Yith
Project through space and time their consciousness
Through endless records, of lives they shift
Seeking every object of analysis
My iridescent eyes, peer at the open sky
So far cross the vault of time, constellations realigned
Cry out to my once and future self Obscure not this psychic wealth
Hazy visions haunt my dreams
Of a place no man has seen
How have I seen them?
Told that I've been gone some time
When this body was not mine
Something inhuman
Hid behind my eyes
That only I could recognize
So wonderous to imagine
What thoughts lie behind those iridescent eyes
Through conquest of time
Cross into the divine
Soured fascination
With a bitter recollection
Archived to completion
This world's event succession
End man foretold
Written in their tomes
Grim portent behold
Etched in Yithian stone

I Walk the Labyrinth
07:55
|
|||
Silently in the dead of the night
Lose my sleep to my thoughts
I've forgotten the distance I have come
I walk the labyrinth I wrought
Rise from shallow graves
Where buried demons I lay
Sing me the dirges of fate
Over and over and over and over and over again
Hear my plea, from the valley of tears
Unbind me from my chains
Path unseen, vision clouded by my fears
I feel I'm falling again
I refuse
Can't keep myself still
So crush me under the wheel
The shortest path to my will
This roundabout reel
Rise from shallow graves
Where buried demons I lay
Sing me the dirges of fate
Over and over and over and over and over again
I rise to walk this labyrinth I've designed
Over and over and over and over and over again

Requiem for Sisyphus
14:43
|

An Amputated World
With a Lonsome Eye Forlorn
Left to Wonder
What Might Have Been
Just Like Your Struggler
She Picks Up the Broken Blade
Just Like Your Struggler
We Live On

Moonstruck
10:03
|
|||
Within the city of night
In the absence of dreams
A pallid spinner weaves
His spell of nocturnal mystery
An empty building unlocked
In a back ally obscure
Up spiral stairways he lost
His sense of gravity
Behind the only lit door
Cases piled upon the moldering floor
Shadows wild behind him coldly approached
And inquired of him his cause to explore
To a chamber above
The shadows bid him to wait
But he dared not to attend
Their performance sedate
He hid back behind the door
Expectant knew not what for
Pure silence slowly gave way
To music the shadows played
Unseen
Beyond the threshold of dreams
Serene
Desecration of being
Moonbeams
The only light on this blighted
Obscene
Concert in concert with her ancient offspring
Miraculously he told me he was hypnotized to sleep
At dawn awoken to greyness, behind the door he peaked
An audience there assembled still and quiet did he see
Dressed up in white robes in tandem like bands devotees
Looking in terror
As he turned to see a face
Eyeless, dismembered
Mummified with placid face
Hushed and yet eager
Lone survivor still awaits
For the return of their moon-blessed melodious grace
Such is the hour
Where moonstruck poets know
What fruits of wakeful nights
The star winds bestow

Echoes of Light
12:58
|
|||
Oh vast and dark expanse tell me am I alone
Feeling forgotten in the sea of the unknown
That night I screamed into the void and asked myself
What will become of all these dreams and inner wealth
So far away traversing thy plutonian shore
A vision out of time inverted shadows cast on vacant skies
Sacred spawn of the nebulae from which emanates all mass
Cannibalized from the lights of the past, the longest life proves nothing lasts
Adorn the night with chaos
Fathomless eons in my reach
All that I see
Inconceivable antiquity
Billions strong
Trillions long across the heavens have you come to hear my song
So just what am I
What keeps me
Tethered to the earth
In the aftermath of organic birth
In an instant through the nether I'm hurled
A failed being on a dying world
No time to start before I feel my life drift away
Mental decay
All the efforts of the past fading together into grey mass of history
Futility
And yet not an ion's neglected
From a closer perspective
Each minute piece reflected
Behind our frail perception
If I could see the world as I conceive consciousness could be
My actions echo in eternity
Echoes from inner space across the waste expelled in waves of light
Cosmos hear what I say, you know I know I can't just fade away
Information conservation written in the book of ages patiently awaiting a decryption by the hand of fate but
Who knows, but he who waits beyond the gate of life
Like the stars I scar the sky
Oh God I know you hear my echoes of light
