Venture beyond this placid island
Only to find deeper shadows
Touched by the radiation
Of the Logos Emmenation
I searched the astral sea
I found it within me
The greater grows my sphere
The farther grows the near
Oceans of ignorance
Boundless darkened tides
Break upon the brilliant light
To see how little we surmise
A voyager within my consciousness
Sensations fade away I take my rest
Black and still is the canvas
Who is the painter of this scene within my inner eye?
I’ve taken just one step into myself, but who am I?
Abstractions fail to satisfy
Upstream of consciousness I swim
Into the river which never runs dry
Oceans of ignorance
Boundless darkened tides
What lies beyond our space and time?
Wherein’s the cause of all we find?
How sits the highest of highs?
Why all these endless whys?
To sense the absence in sentience
Incense the senses and the elect
The learned ignoramus, a lover so unwise
My dreams are haunted
With the ghost of a child
Unbound by concepts
Of my substance defined
I unlock the gate to a deeper self
No truth at the bottom but an infinite well
Ever blurring the boundary from the mind to the world
Expanding my power as I unbind my soul
I crave negation
Of the limits of form
Transcend dead schemas
Becoming lucid and wild
So take me away
Far adrift
I trust you
I choose to
O endless sea
Oceans of ignorance
Boundless darkened tides
Break upon the brilliant light
Reveal the wonder trapped inside

Haunting me, echoes from my past
When I saw my face gleaming in screen of broken glass
How they screamed, I'll never be the same
How they ran, an outsider I remain
No man, an island is my name
No land, the void from which I came
I know, it ever is my home
On this earth I walk alone
So cleanse me in the balm of night
For I feel I'm falling again
Dance with ghouls in the moonlight
Amongst carrion
Play by day in the catacombs
For I know that light's not for me
Save that of the moon
The sun's dim effigy
You brand me the outsider
So cast me aside
You brand me the outsider
I fly from your binds
So yield to my will, cold reflection
And shed clammy skin of ghouls
Bear this mask of lead to seem human
And play the mirror for a fool
But I feel in my rotting bones
They see right through
So cast me out cast me down cast me aside
Force me in darkened corners to hide
Tell me I've no place on this earth
I'll take it with mirth cause I know I'll remake the world

Impenetrable unfathomable blackness of human artifice ascends to madness
Over all umbral outline shades the city of thieves
Eclipsing all but the terror that dread thaumaturge weaves
One man fears no wizard
North-born blood of Crom
Steel-eyed will of iron
Unlettered and headstrong
Sets off in the moonlight
To steal Yara's jewel
To scale cloistered pillar
And make of all the city fools
The elephant's heart
A treasure of untold majesty
Within those ramparts
Seeming unguarded with guardians unseen
Lurking in the darkness
To assail by fang and claw
Venom of the burglars
In silence slays the beasts
Scale with strength of giants
Sheer unbroken wall
Swiftly his companion
Was choked in silent shrieks
Unseen assassin
Of primal stock
Arachnid haunters of the dark
Noxious and limber
One touch means death
One crushing toss to lay this nightmare to rest
Wander through shrouded halls of ancient unknowns
Behind each gem-crusted door a mortal peril lurks
Instinct and stealth are the shield to his sword
Long tempered by danger, is the nature of the beast he's become
Still mortal, so fragile is man in the realm of the demigods
Fresh terror, as he opens the way to chamber of the elephant-faced unearthly ancient long lying in wait jade creature of sickening shape alien visage with elongated face disfigured by cruelty of fate
But look closer and revulsion fades
Into pity on the cosmic scale tortured and lonesome
Is this old one
Tears from sightless amber eyes
In ages past they watched man arise
Now captive of the man he raised to the skies
Cut out my heart
Bleed it onto his stone
The man-turned-devil dethrone
The jewel will claim back it's own
Bring to nothing
This fell spire collapse
A shadow lost to the past
As endless eons elapse
Destroyed
Forever
The tower
Of the Elephant

I remember faintest rays of light
I shut them out of my sight
Isolated so afraid to face
Feelings I've shut up inside
Don't look inside
I am a wretched and vile thing
Prison of flesh has corrupted me
Venomous snake without immunity
To it's own fangs in it's hypocrisy
Raging in fear lashing out blindly
Crying in lust, rotting with gluttony
Trapped in a mirror out of touch with reality
I'm yearning for a warmth
When my own heart's so cold
Do I even fucking care
About a soul but myself?
And my guilty conscience
Implanting endless doubts
Such bold convictions
So little steel
So go then little leaden automaton
In search of someone to make you feel
Crushed
By the weight of a mind
Bound
to my substance defined
Endless
Never the voice satisfied
Ravenous
Leave no sleeping dragons to lie
Deep down inside a longing brewing
For one to stay my wanton bleeding
Save me it cries in childish wailing
My desire, a parasite, its tide is rising
Hatred, my internal projection
Revulsion, my gaze's only expectation
Fear, is at best what they're feeling
Desolation, when I'm through with my self-concealing
I know alone I'm better staying
Can't find a home with heart dismaying
Try to justify with outward giving
Paralyzed from all sides I'm kept from living
But I know somewhere deep down inside
There's one thing I can do right
Change myself as much as I need to
To be a person who can love true
So burn this image into your mind
Placeholder for the one you will find
With it remember to keep your every word
A promise to remake yourself, and remake the world
This is the undying flame for your effigy
I pray my epitaph reads your name
Hope in this life what I know in eternity
The light within me leads the way
Find solace
In knowing I have worth
As someone
Who cares for others
As someone
With a heart that can feel
With a will turned to steel
So crush me under the wheel
Now I see the purpose of my past
Filling me, with passion that was built to last
Stars above, law within, hope before me
On this earth I'm not alone
But there is so much to be done
There is still so much to be done
So I will fight on endlessly
